I got all my marks on him at the start by killing Esau and treating him as OG lost. But now he's amazing to play, super intense, high skill needed, really great risk/reward trade iff. WebThey have to change something with Tainted Jacob. Repentance spoiler This is by far the most frustrating character to play as. The main problem with this character is that if you're the lost version of Jacob and beat a boss for completion marks, it won't count as you're "technically" Jacob anymore.

WebTainted Jacob post-patch defender here and have about a logged 600 or so hours in the game. Really interested in the post and wanted to give a response as I genuinely think his glow-up buffs are some of the most significant among the Tainted cast. It's a long one, but wanted to get my thoughts down.
WebTainted Jacob would be an improvement in some ways, but I don't think it is the best approach because spamming Anima Sola throughout the floor is actually pretty handy and worth killing Essau and becoming the Lost.
